ROBERTA FEIGENBAUM - Composer
An Introduction
Roberta Feigenbaum is an American composer whose works include jazz, rock, gospel, world, ambient, and classical styles of music. Born in the Catskill mountains of New York, she drew inspiration from the late-’50s New York jazz and theater scenes.
Ms. Feigenbaum’s musical training included jazz studies at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, CA, contemporary music studies at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM, and focused studies with mentors George Boujie, Joel di Bartolo, David Parlato, Bob Barnes (a student of Lennie Tristano), Jack Millman, and Fred Steiner.
Ms. Feigenbaum, while living in Santa Fe, New Mexico (1987-2004) was a prominant member of the music scene as a composer, working bassist, and music producer. Ms. Feigenbaum, who holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, has worked as a psychology professional, a professional film editor (Avid, Final Cut Pro), and a music professional. Blending knowlege and experience from psychology, film, and music, she now composes exclusively. Ms. Feigenbaum resides in Los Angeles, CA
